I have only made one pie crust, so far but I was excellent! What a great find!

This is the first product that I have tried from KAF that I rate a 1. It had no flavor and used as a breading for chicken fingers and it was a sticky mess. Have ground pecans into flour and used before we we loved it. Will not buy again and will throw out the remainder.
Sorry to hear of the disappointment. We are happy to replace or credit. Just give us a call, 800-827-6836. Frank @ KAF.

I love the pecan meal. My husband isn't crazy about nuts in his cookies or breads. The fine texture of the pecan meal allows me to put the flavor and added nutrition of nuts into almost anything I bake, including waffles.

easy to use. great change from graham cracker crust which everyone loves. highly nutritious and oh so flavorful! Made with cheescake at christmas and highly recommend.

I wanted to love this, but it just couldn't compare to freshly ground pecans. The meal has a dustier texture than fresh, and a slightly more bitter flavor, probably from the higher ratio of pecan skin to nutmeat. However, depending on what you're making, this might be more useful than fresh ground. I ended up mixing it in a 50/50 blend for cookies, and was happy with the results.

I have used this pecan meal for my Christmas baking for the past 3 years. Not only does it save me time (I don't have to grind nuts with the food processor or clean the processor...lol) and money (Do you know how expensive the tiny packs of ground pecans in the baking aisle in the grocery store are?!), but its flavor is excellent, and the texture is astoundingly uniform and smooth.

Adds a great nutty texture and lovely color to many recipes. I substitute ounce for ounce when a recipe calls for flour. I have never substituted more than half of the flour called for, but it always adds such a great flavor, texture, and color.

I can add nuts to recipes without my children knowing. It is so easy to add to healthy cereals, and great for coffeecakes.

I substitute 1/4 of the flour with pecan meal in my usual pie crust recipe for pecan or pumpkin pie. My family requests this every holiday. Delicious!
