When I first purchased this pie plate I made several pies with it and they all turned out great. It was put away for about a year as i had other plates that i preferred. I recently took it out of the cupboard and the glaze on 1/2 the bottom and up one side is all spidered. I made a chocolate cream pie in it and when i just washed it, the spidering is worse. There is a small chance that it was damaged while in the cupboard, but i doubt is as i keep all my nice dishes/knives/anything out of sight of the inlaws/rest of the family. It didn't appear to affect the pie, but this was only an Oreo crumb crust, so i don't know what will happen when i have to actually bake something in it for any length of time.
It does sound like the pan has taken a "bump" causing the glaze to crackle. You can contact our baker's hotline to discuss it further if you like
