Make those seeds STICK!

Isn't it aggravating when the seeds you carefully applied to the top of the dough just fall off once the loaf is baked? Professional bakers solve the problem with Quick Shine™.

  • A combination of water, modified milk protein, canola oil, & additional food-safe ingredients.
  • It's a fast, simple way to make seeds stick.
  • Also adds beautiful shine to your loaves.
  • In a 16-ounce spray can.
Please note: Because this product is packaged in an aerosol canister, it MUST be shipped via USPS ground or Fed Ex ground. To avoid any delay in the processing of your order, please select one of these ground shipping options once you are in your shopping cart. (Leaving any other method as your shipping option will delay your order.)

The product works pretty well but the packaging is impossible. It does not spray well sideways and the can clogs too often. Running it under hot water does NOT help. We have tried everything. There is product left in the can and we can't get it out.
Please call our customer service so we may assist you with this problem. Joan@bakershotline

Like one of the prior reviewers, I must have received a bad batch also. The smell coming out of the can was immediately noticeable and transferred to my finished bread and bagels. The best way I can describe the smell is, "chalky-chemical". I called KAF and explained what I had experienced with this product. They immediately offered to replace or refund. I chose the latter and will stick with egg wash from now on. The Quick Shine went into the trash. My last comment on this product is that I felt that the first bullet item describing the product was a "little" misleading by omitting the chemicals contained in the can: "...* A combination of water, modified milk protein, canola oil, & additional food-safe ingredients..." I did not translate "food-safe ingredients" into the chemicals that were listed on the can as ingredients. I would not have purchased this product if all of the ingredients were listed in the description. I would have given this product 0-Stars, but that is not an option. This was my first order with KAF and they get 5-Stars for the way they handled this for me.

I wonder if I got a bad batch of this stuff or what. It makes the crust taste TERRIBLE. And when I spray it on, the smell almost gags me. So if my gigantic can that I'll never use again is representative of what this stuff is supposed to be, I suggest you not waste your money the way I did.

Mary - Please call our CS, 1-800-827-6836 so that we may replace it. It should not make your baked goods taste "off". You should not even notice it. Elisabeth @ KAF

If you are willing to put up with the fact that it does clog easily (a quick rinse with hot water works) then it is so worth it. It makes the sourdough an other breads really pop and look great!

The spray nozzle easily gets clogged. And the can is way too big; how about a smaller size. How about a product that you can put in your own atomizer? I'd rather use the older mixture and brush it own. This product isn't worth it imho.
Thanks for sharing your review. To help prevent clogging, run the nozzle under hot water for a minute after using. Hope this helps. MJR @ KAF

I liked the product, but not the spray can. I used it once, and it worked fine. Several months later, I tried to spray it on Italian bread, and the sprayer malfunctioned. Washing the spray tip did not help, and I had kept the cap on between uses, protecting the spray tip.

My mom, sisters and I get together every year for our holiday cookie bake. We make a couple batches of about about a dozen different types of cookies each year. Me, I'm the "baker" of the family now, doing breads, learning decorating, etc. and this year when we went to put the sprinkles on the cookies, the recipe said to use an egg white wash to make them stick. One of my sister's sighed and sent to grab a pastry brush and said that she wished that they made an egg white wash that could be sprayed. I had just ordered this and it came in earlier in the week, so I pulled it out and said "Try this". She thought is was unbelievable that someone sold an item like this, and was even more amazed that I actually had it! ;^) It was a simple matter of lightly spraying the cookies and sprinkling them with the sugars. Worked extremely well. Can't wait to try it on my breads... ;^D
