I was warned that these chips "bloom" if shipped other than cool weather. They did and I used them anyway. Alabama heat did not affect the taste, just the appearance in the package. They melt well in cookies or cakes. The taste is very pure and strong.

I'm giving these 5 stars, but be warned that they are indeed EXTREMELY dark. I've used these in chocolate chips cookies and double-chocolate chip cookies and they are very intense. I like using a mixture of these and semisweet chips for a more balanced flavor in cookies.

For the dark chocolate lover ONLY! These are just wonderful but extremely bitter. Makes a yummy chocolate chip cookie. I also made a dark chocolate sauce with this but again, very bitter. I think next time I'll try adding a little sugar. Overall, I am very pleased!

For the true chocolate connoisseur, rich, indulgent, not overly sweet. Enhances any dish requiring chocolate. Hands down, the best. KAF has the most remarkable customer service of any company with whom I've ever dealt, as good as its products.

This is some of the best chocolate I've ever had--for baking, or for swiping from the bag.

oh my goodness... I have made many baked goods melting chocolate, but this is the ultimate in decadence. I made the most wonderful dark chocolate frosting... Thank you for offering this!

Best tasting bittersweet chocolate ever. Leaves a great aftertaste whether it's in a baked good or eaten as is.

I love mixing these with other types of chocolate chips in my cookies. They give an added depth of flavour and little bit of bitterness to counteract the sweetness most other chips have.
