I bought this pan several years ago before it cost $38.95. I loved the idea of it and wanted to use it mostly for cornbread. I hesitated to make the purchase because I was afraid it would be difficult to clean, but I eventually went for it anyway. Here's the deal: I love the way the pan cooks up my cornbread, but I have not been having the "pops right out" and "wash in the dishwasher" good fortune the rest of you mention in your reviews. However, I have been using oil in the wells assuming that would work better and that the oil would not give me that sticky buildup on my pan that non-stick spray gives you so often. And it has never been my practice to put nonstick pans in the dishwasher. So . . . I've noticed that someone from King Arthur puts a response out here whenever someone has a problem with a product and I await your response. Thanks!
PS. If it wasn't for the clean-up problems with the pan, which I was initially concerned about anyway with all those little corners, I would definitely have rated it a 5-star.
Mariesa - Over time, using pan spray can cause a build up. If you would like to spray, a light touch is all that is needed. The "pop right out" capability may be gaged by how much butter is in a recipe. The more butter the easier the release. Also, before attempting to unmold your baked goods, let cool for at least 5 minutes.

Finally no one says "what's wrong with that muffin?" when I present my scones! Comes nice and clean from the pan. Plus a perfect size, not overwhelming.

I love this pan - it's perfect for baking the English Cream scones we love so much. I even use it for brownies now -- they come out nicely formed (vs. mangled by cutting apart in a regular pan).

I bought the mini pan because I like to take baked goodies to work. It makes the perfect size scone. You can always have two, if you wanted more. I haven't found anything from KAF that I haven't loved. It's a little pricey when you could really seperate your scones the traditional way, but no way am I going to try cutting my scones into 16 servings! Pan is heavy and scones fall right out. I always use non stick spray. If this doesn't fit in your budget, just add a bit more mild and drop small amounts for cookie type, or 1/4 cup amounts for HUGE biscuits! Yum!

This pan makes wonderful scones, it's weight ensures there are no hot spots that would cause burned areas and all the scones bake evenly. It is a quality pan that you will pass on for generations.

I have been using this pan for a few years now at least once a week. I spray some non stick spray, drop in the scone dough, put in the oven, 17 minutes later the scones are done and fall out of the pan when I flip it over. To wash I put it in the dishwasher. The pan still looks new. Scones are the perfect size, especially for my kids. It is probably the most used pan in our kitchen.

Received the pan last week and I've used it twice already. It's great and just the right size for a small scone.

I purchased this item from the King Arthur Flour store in Vermont a couple of months ago and used it for the first time this morning with a scone mix that was also purchased at the same time. The pan worked great and mt family said they were the best scones they ever had. Thank you King Arthur.
