I have owned both the full-size and mini-size non-stick metal scone pans. Their non-stick surface got scratched, also they lost their non-stick quality after much use. Replaced them with this FANTASTIC silicone version. I use a light spritz of canola non-stick spray before filling the pan, and my scones come out beautiful and not crumbly. The scones pictured in the catalog and on-line appear anemic to me. I sprinkle cinnamon- or vanilla-sugar over them, and my scones come out crunchy and dark golden brown with a moist interior. OK, they are more like drop biscuits than a traditional knead-and-cut scone recipe, but I can combine dry ingredients the night before and have fabulous scones with less mess and no fuss first thing in the morning. Guaranteed to get kids out of bed and down the stairs any day of the week. Love this pan!

I specifically wanted this pan - yes, like others have stated, the scones are not as crispy as if baked in a metal pan, but the scones come out with no problem and the pan is super easy to clean.

Makes perfect little scones. I add a little more water than recommended (about a 1/4 c) and use a cookie scoop to fill the wells. Add some sugar on top (for some more crunch). I get compliments every time I make these.

This is only good for pourable, scoopable, batters such as cornbread. My scone recipes require brief kneading. Much easier to pat dough into a square then cut into triangles. Edges will brown then.

I Love scones! Bought this as my first Silicone baking ware. It was great made lots and going to buy another! One question! Wish this was in full size scones not just mini! We have not found a loarge one yet, but we will keep looking. Frank @ KAF.

This item did everything it says. Although if you are looking for a traditional scone with the crusted sides and bottom this is not the item for you.
True, silicone does not brown in the same way that metal pans will. The scones will be lighter in color with this pan. MJR @ KAF

I really wanted this pan to make scone-making easier...just spoon in and press down and then pop right out when they're done. Which it does beautifully. However...I miss the crunchyness on the outside of the scones that you get from metal pans or baking sheets. So...kind of depends on what you're looking for.
