Are your poached eggs ALWAYS a mess? Hate cleaning the saucepan afterwards? Try this cool new solution: Poachpod™.

  • Lightly grease one of these flexible silicone Poachpods.
  • Break an egg into it.
  • Float in a pan of simmering water, cover, and wait several minutes.
  • Take floating Poachpod out of the pan, and run a spoon around the edge to slide egg onto your hot buttered toast.
  • No broken, misshapen egg; no messy pan to clean!
  • Set of 2.
WHY TO BUY: When I make poached eggs by hand, I drizzle a little vinegar into the simmering water, get it going like a whirlpool, drop in the egg–and it turns into a kind of amorphous blob with stringy white floating all around it. It NEVER comes out looking nice, nor does it cook well. Now I use these egg poachers, and eggs are ALWAYS perfectly shaped and cooked. Plus, no knuckle-busting scraping of cooked-on egg white out of the bottom of your saucepan. Just be sure to grease these before using; directions don’t say that, but if you don’t the egg might stick.

Never been easier to poach an egg. The few seconds extra time is really nothing. We'll be eating alot more eggs this summer

They got the three stars because they do a lovely job of keeping the egg contained, unlike the old drop in a water-tornado method that has a 50/50 chance of working out. But my major issue is that with these, you have to oil the pods, and when you do, they don't stick at all, which is great, but it kind of defeats the purpose of poaching the eggs - if I wanted oily eggs, I'd fry them. Plus, these silicone poachers don't transfer heat very well. If I make a poached egg directly in boiling water, it's done in precisely four minutes - three if I want a runny egg. These take six minutes to get to runny and seven and a half to get the egg to a soft-boiled point. I bought these to save time in the morning, and these just aren't doing it for me.
Sorry to hear these aren't working out for you Christine. Give customer service a call and we will be glad to help you out with a return. MJR @ KAF

These are great egg poacher. the only complaint I have is that I wish they had a little handle to make it easier to invert. as they are, one has to use a pot holder to invert them. Otherwise they are great! would buy them again.

Husband loves poached eggs but they are always such a mess. Not with these, perfect eggs every time and clean up is a breeze, doesn't take up much space like those egg poachers - don't know how I ever got along without them.

So easy to clean and there's no mess to scrape off the bottom of the pot. These egg poachers are flexible and easy to store in cupboard or drawer. Love 'em.

What a marvelous invention. I've used many types of egg poachers over the years, and this is the best, by far.
