Broom straw? Try this instead-
When testing a cake for doneness, wood (toothpick) or straw tend to give a “stickier” reading than stainless steel. For the best results, use stainless steel.
- The testing part of this tester is 5 ¼” long, allowing you to reach to the middle of the cake without having to plunge your hand TOO far into that hot oven.
- Food-friendly stainless steel.
- Hang on pegboard via loop at top.
- 8” long overall.

This little item is beautiful and effective. I keep it out, easy to grab, and it is nice to look at. Hope you get them back in soon.

I love the design and look of the tester. I did, however, think that it would be of a heavier gauge. When I received it in the box with my other items, it was bent, had to straighten. Although, it does work great.

I love having an item that is not only useful but is also very pretty. It is nice to have this item handy and not have to search for a toothpick or a piece of straw to test for doneness!

I love this cake tester. It arrived just as I was baking a pound cake and I put it to use right then and there. I want to order more for gifts for my baking buddies.

This is a wonderful, whimsical, useful, and unique item. It works great; better than the bamboo skewers I usually use as testers. It would make a wonderful stocking stuffer at Christmas, or a "Secret Santa" gift. Or . . . treat yourself!! You'll be glad you did.

I bought 5 of these. One for me and the others as gifts. I thought they would all be the same but to my surprise the beads, both shapes and colors, were all different. Made the blueberry buckle coffee cake this morning and the tester went all the way to the bottom of the pan, unlike a toothpick. I would recommend one of these for any baker. No more toothpicks for me.
