This pan also is very helpful for making bagels. I form the bagel loops and place them into this pan, then let the bagels rise overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, I bring these dough pans into room temperature for half an hour and then steam these bagel pans with their bagels for five minutes in a Presto rectangular electric fry pan. Then I brush the tops with egg white and water mix, sprinkle with poppy seeds etc., and bake. The bagels come out beautiful and fluffy.

Would it affect the baking time if you placed the donut pan on a cookie sheet? I haven't gotten my pan yet but I am looking forward to it.
Lynda, A baking pan will add a layer of insulation. This will extend the baking time and might alter the texture of the donuts. If you need to use a baking sheet, you will need to experiment with bake time and temp. Please call our bakers on the Hotline: 800-827-6836 if you need assistance with the adjustments. Frank @ KAF.

I received my two donut pans today and couldn't wait to try them. I actually used a recipe for fried donuts from my Fannie Farmer book and they came out great! These pans are from Norpro, (I wish that was advertised-I had to call to find that out.) and are far superior to my Donut Express pans. A much deeper well-the donuts come out so much better! My grandchildren are enjoying these quick donuts, and I'm loving the pans!

This pan is great. And the doughnuts come out like the picture too. There is only one little problem I fine with this pan. And that is when you try to take it out of the oven with a potholder it is a little hard. No place to grip it. The sides are cured down. So I took a fork and put in the hole on the end and slide it to the edge of the rack and then was able to pull it out. But that is nothing compare to how well they turned out!! I am buying another pan. Still give it five stars!

We loved the donuts, made in this pan with the Buttermilk Donut mix. I agree with the previous reviewer in that these are easier and faster to make than muffins. Only 30 minutes from mixing to finished baking before we were enjoying cinnamon-sugared (not fried) donuts. You can't go wrong with this (yes novelty pan), product and mix. I can endorse these products without any reservation. King Arthur has made a real winner...........again.

My family loves these baked doughnuts! This is one of those novelty baking products that actually makes sense: it makes an excellent, inexpensive alternative to the fried sugar bombs you get at the doughnut shop. It's even easier and faster to make these than plain muffins, and you can control the amount of sugar. When used with King Arthur's pastry flour, the doughnuts are especially tender. I'm ordering a second pan.
