I LOVE this bread pan-it's good, sturdy and will last a long time. It does give off a bit of black residue after being in the dishwasher, and I'm not sure why, but I plan to collect more of them and replace my old pans with these heavier, fantastic, quality pieces.
Denise - I am happy you are enjoying your pan. Sometimes there is some leftover residue from greasing your pan combined with the crumb from your bread. I recommend you take a soft cloth to do an initial cleaning before placing in your dishwasher. Elisabeth @ KAF

These are high quality pans that will last for years to come. Needs to be lightly greased and I had absolutely NO problem with my bread sliding out and cleaning the pan was NO problem as well. Bake evenly and a good size for a one pound bread dough.

Wonderful pans, dishwasher safe, but would NOT recommend dishwasher as the finish becomes dull, a metalic color rubs of on your hands, and the bread sticks more. Handwash, or just wipe after use and all is well!

These pans are excellent. They are thick and heavy and cook the bread evenly.
