I love these pans. I don't have them very long and have used them about 3 times. I hand wash and dry well, so far no problems.

The pans were thin and delicate and were excellent used in all of my Christmas baking (lemon tarts, quiches, apple tarts, sweet potato tarts). They were very easy to use with the loose bottom and my desserts never looked so good. I just washed them and let them dry overnight, no rust, and perfect to use the next day. We loved them so much, I've ordered 2 sets. Thanks, KAF!

I'm looking forward to using my pans. As other reviewers have mentioned these do rust. I washed my last night and let them out to air dry. This morning-rust. There are no washing directions that come with the package. How is one to know to dry them by hand?Especially when you've never used this type of metal before with baking materials.

These pans are made of tinned steel and care should be taken not to wear down the tin to expose the steel which will rust. Please call us at 800-827-6836 for a replacement. These pans should ways be hand washed and hand dried with no abrasive washing materials or cloths.

I have to admit, these feel kind of flimsy to me, especially compared to the big tart pan I ordered. But I trust the reviewers on this site so I'll give them a try. Thanks for the tips on drying. I let them air dry before but from now on I'll pop them in the oven.

These mini-tart pans are just perfect for individual servings. Since there are but 2 of us, we use 2 tarts and send the other 2 to the freezer. As for ease of cleaning, no problem. Just wash them by hand, dry them carefully. I've owned several pieces other than the mini-tart pans for 40 years that require hand washing, and they are still as beautiful as the day I bought them.

This is the first bakeware I've ordered from KAF and overall I'm satisfied. My only complaint is that I was expecting the metal to be a little sturdier/thicker. These pans are on the thin side, but tarts are delicate so I suppose you don't really need heavy-duty pans. The set of 4 is the perfect size to use for recipes calling for 9" round pans. Following the advice of other reviewers, I make sure to carefully dry them off after washing them. Here's a trick I've used: after washing and drying, place them upside down in a barely-warm oven for a few minutes so that any remaining water evaporates.

I love these pans! They are so cute, and perfect for sharing. I love to share my baked goods with family and friends and these pans make it a lot easier to share! The only thing is, tell your family and friends not to wash them in their dishwasher! One of my friends washed two in the dishwasher for me, and they got pretty rusty. Since it was only once, I was able to salvage them and now everyone knows to handwash them!

Just a comment on drying these - after washing them, put them back in your oven unside down as it's cooling down. Takes about 15 minutes and they will dry completely and no rust.
Great tip for many pans that would benefit from this same technique for drying! Happy Baking! Irene @ KAF

I love the mini tart pans! I never made tarts before, and I like them for dinner parties, or even mini quiches the kids can take to early baseball practice! The pastry comes off easily with no breakage. Mine have not rusted, in 8 months of ownership. I hand wash and dry them. Even drip drying a couple times, no rust.
