Bake your quick bread quickly.
Shave about 25% off the time needed to bake a typical 1-hour quick bread with this longer, slimmer pan.
- 12" x 4" x 2 1/2" pan holds the equivalent of a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
- Playing card-sized slices are much more diet-friendly than traditional full-sized, perfect for a teatime snack.
- Plus stoneware keeps your oven-fresh quick bread warm at the table longer.
- Dishwasher-safe.

is this pan tapered or does it have straight sides?
The sides are almost straight. The top of the pan is 4 3/8" while the bottom of the pan is 4". Molly @ KAF

After two years of using this pan often, I have found the perfect temperature for me in 337 (half way between 325 & 350). You have to determine bake time recipe by recipe because moisture content is different but at that temperature it bakes pretty evenly. I still love this pan. I think every swweet bread lover should own it.

I was hoping to order two Danish Loaf Pans in metal which I already have and love. However, this doesn't appear to be available any longer. True? If so, does this stoneware loaf pan bake yeast breads as well as the metal? Please let me know as I need two more pans this size. Thanks.
Thanks for inquiring. We have not carried the metal pans for about 2 years now, but we love this stoneware pan just as well

Bought this as combo with pumpkin dessert bread mix. Instructions with mix said it could be made in this pan, regular pan or bundt pan. There was only one baking time listed. There was no time savings. I started testing at promised 25% time savings and every few minutes thereafter. It cooked it the time listed on mix. The pan itself is great. Not knowing how long to bake is not.
Thank you for your review. We're glad you tested the dessert bread for doneness instead of just trusting the time. The long, lean shape of this pan usually results in about 25% time savings, but as you found, it's good to test to be sure. Irene @ KAF

I love this pan, although I admit, I have the one from a few years back that is metal, not this stoneware one. (What happened to that one? I'd love another!) I have made all sorts of quick breads in it, as well as meatloaf... love it!!!
Lindsey, I'm not sure where that metal version went either. Have you checked out the new Three Channel Pan? http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/items/three-channel-loaf-pan Frank @ KAF.

For anyone who regularly brings breads to work or a potluck, this pan provides the perfect sized slices for a crowd. Also fantastic for meatloaf and just used it this weekend for lasagne. Am glad I ordered a second one.

I really like the shape of this loaf pan and have had several friends ask where I bought it. I agree with the one reviewer who commented on the made in China issue. I would love it if you could find a manufacturer in the USA and would be willing to spend the extra money for this pan to have it made at home. I bought your new bread knife because it was made locally. Let's all start looking for items made in the USA.
Sue - We all can appreciate your concern for products made in China. We aim to offer the best quality product at a good price/value to our customer, and look for vendors who can produce to our capacity while also maintaining good business practice. We look far and wide for the best performing products, some of which are domestic, some from our own great state of Vermont and, some products from China (as well as other countries around the world). Our merchandise team has a vendor service and compliance manual that is given to each new vendor as well as updated annually. It is a requirement for our vendor to sign before doing business with us and we expect compliance on all aspects. Several of our competitors who also carry some of our bigger vendor product lines, also require this type of document and do regular inspections of Far East factories in order to check for compliance.
We do carry some pans (Doughmakers) made in the USA. We have a variety of pans available. The following is a clinkable link. DoughmakersUSA Elisabeth @ KAF

I love this pan. I made the KAF Banana Bread and was actually able to get 18 slices out of it....170 calories with less than 1/3 fat. I cut the baking time by 25% and it turned out great!

Beautiful pan but was disappointed it was made in China, Called customer service to see if this pan has the CCIB Sticker/Logo (safety of ceramic tableware produced in China) on the main shipping carton. Got the run around that it probably does not contain lead.
KA will take it back but I have to pay shipping which will cost half the cost of the pan.
I'm sorry that you did not receive the info you needed. We do have certifacation on all of our products. Please call us back. Frank from KAF.

Love it! Perfect size for sweet breads. I use this pan for meatloaf and it bakes it perfectly.
