The Perfect Beaker
Made in Germany of crystal-clear, high-impact acrylic, The Perfect Beaker's 6 3/4-inch tall tapered design gives it the versatility to measure from quite small to quite large amounts -- every which way! Starting at 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) and going to 2 cups (16 ounces), this beaker lets you read in cups, ounces, pints, tablespoons, teaspoons, and m/ccm (metric). Its snap-on lid makes it even more functional -- measure and shake up a recipe of salad dressing!

I love this beaker, as it is comprehensive, but it always has cracked at the bottom so easily (I've gone through two within a year). I always hand wash it, so I can't tell what the issue might be.

I received the Perfect Beaker as a gift over 10 years ago and it is one of the most used items in my kitchen. It’s so nice to have one measuring cup that does it all! After 10 years of being cleaned in the dishwasher (top shelf of course) at least every other day, the markings are beginning to fade - note I said beginning. Several years ago I searched the Internet for a replacement so that if and when mine finally wore out I wouldn’t be without it for even one day of baking but was unable to find it. Obviously I need to be shopping your site more often.

I purchased this item about 10 years ago. I'm now on my second one, the first having come to grief in a faulty dishwasher which melted it, along with a lot of other plastic stuff, when the timer got stuck! I don't put my new one in the dishwasher. I love this for measuring, especially in ounces and tablespoons.

We've had it for about 8 years; I try to use it only for water so I don't have to wash it often... markings are (were?) only printed, not raised nor etched, and there wouldn't be much point without them. It's ideal for carefully measuring water for the bread machine... my standard recipe currently calls for 13.5 oz, and it makes a difference to be able to be that precise. Glass, by the way, would be problematic because it would either have to have a very thin wall and perhaps break or its refraction would make it more difficult to measure accurately.

When I ordered this is 08 the description at that time identified it as being made of glass. I too, was disappointed but still enjoy.
We have carried a variety of measures made of glass over the years. However the Perfect Beaker has always been made of plastic. Frank from KAF.

For some reason I wasn't expecting plastic, I thought it would be glass. I like that it comes with a lid. I proof yeast in this beaker because of the lid. It has many uses, also very convenient.
