had to think about this one for a couple days before i bought, not inexpensive. Now that i've used it a couple weeks, I'm glad i bought it. Sure takes out all the guesswork on baking a perfectly done loaf of bread, would highly recommend

This was very disappointing. I know that the therms pen is not accurate and for the price I paid, not worth it. It has been sitting in the package unused. I was happy to see you gave a telephone number to have it recalibrated. I am hoping that will fix mine. I wanted one for such a long time and to have it not work accurately against a $10.00 analog instant read thermometer is very disappointing.
We're sorry to hear of your disappointment. We are, however, a little confused over the situation. You've not tried it yet, and are disappointed with it? You may need to calibrate this thermometer upon first use to ensure accuracy. It is a great thermometer and we've received a lot of great feedback. Interesting that someone else had a problem with roasts. I have used this thermometer successfully for candies and bread, and appreciate how fast and clear the readings are. But my husband felt it was very inaccurate for the prime rib we cooked for Xmas. I don't think it is not calibrated; it did fine for my bread yesterday. Could it not do well for certain foods? Anyway, not being the meat cook, I love it!

I love the convenience of this thermometer and it's accuracy. I need to make sure that food reaches certain temps. and this is a great tool. It is pricey, but it is worth it.

This temp varied quite a bit from another thermometer that I have been using and suspected was not accurate. The Thermapen Dig. Thermometer did a beautiful job and the standing rib roast for our Christmas Eve dinner turned out perfectly medium rare.

This is an amazing device. i love that I can actually locate the center, or coolest part, of a roast so that it is perfectly cooked to the temperature I want. I also like that it is thin enough that it doesn't leave a tunnel in my baked goods. It is very easy to use and easy to read.

I gave this to a friend for Christmas. Her email thank you said that "she had been lusting for one for years and was holding it close to her chest." I've had one for years and use it almost every day to take the temperature of everything from meats to cheesecake to yeast breads and cake. It is simple to use and responds to temperature change very quickly. Absolutely worth the price.

I must be the only person who finds this thermometer completely inaccurate. I have been using for about 2-3 months and I don't think I've gotten an accurate reading for roasts once. Very disappointing especially for the price. We're sorry to hear that your Thermapen doesn't seem to be accurate. Once in a while they need recalibrating after shipping. The manufacturer is happy to do this by phone. Please give them a call at 1-800-393-6434. If this doesn't correct the problem we will be happy to replace it for you. Tara@KAF
