I, who never use mixes, went the whole way and ordered the graham crust, the toasted coconut and the cream filling mix. Just had a yearning for a coconut cream pie, and had no time. The toasted coconut was lovely; The entire pie, considering cost, was nothing like real, homemade coconut cream pie. Still, I ate it and enjoyed it.

I was disappointed at the lack of coconut taste in this product. It just didn't come across with a strong enough taste for me.
Sorry this didn't work out. Please call us at 800-827-6836

I LOVE this product! I use it in pancakes, muffins, and it makes FABULOUS coconut scones! I have even made coconut bread and just found a recipe for Samoan Coconut Buns here on King Arthur and I'm thinking of sprinkling them on the top of the rolls. YUM!

Great. Really nice as a topping on ice cream, pudding, etc. Also good for making coconut cups.

I love this stuff! I have used it in many recipes - flavor is good, very convenient to pour from a bag rather than toast my own. I don't think that it is overly dark at all (previous reviews), it provides the perfect crunch as a topping and the perfect chew as an ingredient. In love with the Grand Prize Coconut-Caramel Bars! http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/grand-prize-coconut-caramel-bars-recipe#fragement-2

I loved this product especially in the coconut caramel candy bars. Tastes good and easy to use. How about adding use through dates on your packages?

This is the best. I use it in my pecan coconut frosting for chocolate cake and everyone raves about it. This coconut has more taste than others.

I received my recent order of toasted coconut and when I took out the bag, I thought it was a bag of chocolate sprinkles, it was so dark. The coconut looked as if it were burnt. I contacted KAF and was told they would send out another packet for me, plus credit my account, which was very nice. The second packet arrived, just as dark and burnt-looking as the first order. I was very disappointed in the appearance, but did use it in a recipe. The flavor is fine but, again, the appearance is really marred with the coconut as dark as it is - almost looks as if there are specks of dirt in my baked item! I had ordered this once before a year or two ago and it had been a light, caramel color, just as is depicted in the ad for this. So, while the flavor is fine, I would hesitate to order this, or recommend it to someone for baking due to the extremely dark color of the coconut. Hopefully, it is just one batch that ended up looking like this!

I just received a package of toasted coconut today and my bag is very dark brown. The picture on the website looks carmel colored. I haven't tried it yet but the color looks like it would be unappealing as a topping.
Our apologies for this disappointment. When you receive a product that does not meet your expectations, please call so we can replace the item for you ASAP. Our Customer Service Reps. will be glad to help at 800-827-6836. Irene @ KAF

Super Great Flavor and Crunch! I used it as a topping for Coconut Custard pie, also, but my favorite use for this ingredient was the delicious "Hawaiian-style Chocolate Chip" cookies I made. Just make your favorite CCC recipe and substitute the semisweet choc for a combination of white and milk chocolate chips and 1 cup of toasted coconut. AWESOME!
