Chocolate-Frosted Fabulous Fudge Brownies
When Valentine's Day rolls around, it's nice to add an extra-special touch to chocolate desserts. Our Fabulous Fudge Brownies dress up nicely with a thick layer of our Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting and a stenciled, sugar-dusted heart.
Instructions
- To make chocolate-frosted fabulous fudge brownies:
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions for cake-type brownies.
- Pour the batter into a lightly greased 9" x 13" pan, spreading it into the edges and corners.
- Bake the brownies at 325°F for about 25 minutes, until a cake tester or toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and set them on a rack to cool completely.
Decorate
- To frost the brownies:
- When the brownies have finished cooling prepare the buttercream frosting according to package directions.
- Spread the frosting onto the brownies in the pan.
- Cut the brownies into squares. If desired make a heart stencil out of paper, place the stencil over a brownie, and dust snow-white non-melting sugar over the top to create a sugar-dusted heart.
Yield: 24 brownies.
