Chocolate-Frosted Fabulous Fudge Brownies

When Valentine's Day rolls around, it's nice to add an extra-special touch to chocolate desserts. Our Fabulous Fudge Brownies dress up nicely with a thick layer of our Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting and a stenciled, sugar-dusted heart.

Instructions
  1. To make chocolate-frosted fabulous fudge brownies:
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions for cake-type brownies.
  3. Pour the batter into a lightly greased 9" x 13" pan, spreading it into the edges and corners.
  4. Bake the brownies at 325°F for about 25 minutes, until a cake tester or toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
  5. Remove the brownies from the oven and set them on a rack to cool completely.
Decorate
  1. To frost the brownies:
  2. When the brownies have finished cooling prepare the buttercream frosting according to package directions.
  3. Spread the frosting onto the brownies in the pan.
  4. Cut the brownies into squares. If desired make a heart stencil out of paper, place the stencil over a brownie, and dust snow-white non-melting sugar over the top to create a sugar-dusted heart.

Yield: 24 brownies.
