King Arthur Flour Teams Up with Cookies for Kids' Cancer
New Partnership Will Help Raise Money for Pediatric Cancer Research
Norwich, Vermont – June 21, 2012 – King Arthur Flour is joining forces with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer to raise thousands of dollars this summer and beyond for pediatric cancer research.
As the official flour of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, King Arthur Flour will provide up to 2,000 free bags of flour to bake sale hosts. In addition, starting July 1, the first 25 hosts to raise $1,000 or more will each receive a $100 King Arthur Flour gift card.
“King Arthur Flour’s mission is to make the world a better place through baking, and joining Cookies for Kids’ Cancer to help home bakers support this important cause seems like a natural fit,” says King Arthur Flour Outreach Program Manager Julie Christopher. “We look forward to raising thousands of dollars for pediatric cancer research through our ongoing partnership.”
Philanthropy plays a critical and essential role in funding research in the ongoing battle against childhood cancer. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer inspires individuals and communities to raise funds for research through local bake sales and online cookie sales. Funds raised are then granted to researchers developing promising new therapies at top pediatric cancer centers nationwide.
