King Arthur Flour Building New Facility For Warehouse and Manufacturing

King Arthur Flour breaks ground this month on a new warehouse and manufacturing facility in Hartford, Vermont. The new 23,500 sq. ft. structure will be used primarily for manufacturing operations, relocating the operations from a building across the street from the build site.

“Our manufacturing and fulfillment operations are currently housed in the same facility and have both been growing,” says Steve Cochran, vice president and of infrastructure at King Arthur Flour.“This new facility will allow us to continue growth in both areas”

The new building will accommodate 30 current full- and part-time employees and will allow the addition of about five employees over the next couple of years. A formal groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the construction site on Billings Farm Road on September 23 at 1:00 p.m.

The estimated $4 million project is expected be completed by early 2014 and is partially funded by a Vermont Economic Development Authority grant. The company will continue all operations as usual throughout construction.
