Flavor Packed Additions

Just add any of these combinations of goodies to your bowl at the beginning of the mixing process and follow the box instructions from there for a delicious twist on an already delicious mix! Note, due to the increased batter volume, once you add these additional ingredients, you may need to increase bake time to 55-65 minutes (185°F if you have an instant read thermometer).

Instructions
  1. Add 2 cups mashed banana or one 15 oz. can of pumpkin to your mix and omit the milk.
  2. Add 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes and reduce the milk to 3/4 cups.
  3. Add up to 2 cups of mixed nuts, dried fruit, shredded coconut or chocolate chips, adding the fat, milk, and eggs according to the box. Note: use 1 cup maximum of coconut specifically, as it will make it difficult to slice your loaf at any higher amount.
  4. Add 2 cups grated zucchini, carrot, and/or apple reducing milk to 1/2 cup.
  5. Add an additional teaspoon of your favorite spice.
  6. Add up to 2 cups of fresh or frozen berries. Instead of adding these at the beginning of mixing, your fruit will stay more fully intact if you gently fold them into the batter after it is mixed.
  7. Raisin bran: add 3/4 cups bran and 1 cup dried raisins to your bowl at the beginning of mixing. Also increase the milk to 1 1/4 cups total.
