Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  1. Essential Goodness Everyone's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  2. 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  3. 1 large egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9" x 13" pan, or line it with parchment.
  2. To make the double chocolate cookie dough: stir together the cookie mix, butter, and egg, scraping the bowl as needed.
  3. To make the chocolate chip cookie dough: stir together the cookie mix, butter, and egg, scraping the bowl as needed.
  4. Break the chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough into small pieces and sprinkle them evenly across the bottom of the prepared pan. Break the chocolate chip cookie dough into similarly-sized pieces and sprinkle evenly in between and atop the chunks of the chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough. Press all the dough down into and even, solid layer in the bottom of the pan.
  5. Bake the bars for 23 to 27 minutes, until the chocolate chip cookie is golden brown and the center feels fairly firm to the touch (a little give in the center of the pan in OK).
  6. Remove the bars from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
