Stainless steel scoops make drop-cookie baking a breeze. Use for drop-cookies, pizzelles, and scones. Teaspoon cookie scoop holds approximately 1¾ teaspoons of dough.
This scoop doesn't measure exactly 1 teaspoon; it's sized to mirror the approximate amount of dough a baker gets when using the traditional dinner-table teaspoon to scoop cookie dough. If you're looking for a foodservice (restaurant) size, it's #100.
Care & storage
Stainless steel scoop means no sticking; no mess.
Dishwasher safe.

Bought all three cookie scoops a couple years ago. Loved them! However, the orange teaspoon scoop just feel apart while using last week. Reached out to king arthur, but they replied "it's beyond our replacement window" I understand that, but just buyer beware. It might not last forever.
I ordered the teaspoon size scoop for making cookies during the holidays. I had thought for ages that cookie scoops were merely an unnecessary luxury--who can't use a regular teaspoon to get the right size? I am sorry I did not order a scoop years ago. KA's teaspoon size scoop is exactly the correct size for my sister's recipe for crescent cookies. It is not quite large enough for scooping the dough for pecan tassies, so I will be ordering a tablespoon size scoop for those. I did notice KA claims the stainless steel scoop will not allow dough to stick to the bowl of the scoop. This is not at all true. The dough for both my tassies and crescents stuck in the bowl. It was necessary to remove it manually before placing it in the dishwasher. Since I am planning to order a larger scoop, the sticking problem does not outweigh all the benefits of the scoop.
I used this today to make deviled eggs (I have a left side deficit, making scooping nearly impossible) and not only did the process go much smoother it also went much faster. I love these scoops. Thank you KAF.
I use these scoops to measure out fillings for potstickers and wontons. They make filling dumplings quick and easy.
This is the best, most comfortable cookie scoop I have used. Other metal type scoops would make my hand hurt, but not this scoop. Very smooth operation. I will definitely be purchasing the other size scoops.
Use it for meatballs, for sure, and cookies. But I really love it to fill deviled eggs!!! One scoop fills a deviled egg perfectly and neatly! No piping necessary, or awkward plastic bags, or just ugly plops with a spoon. Worth it just for deviled eggs!
The product description implies it's high quality because it is made of stainless steel and has no springs (that eventually need replacing). What it DOESN'T say is that what isn't stainless is, instead, plastic - and made in China! If I'd have looked closely at the photo, I might have seen that plastic "gears" meet stainless "gears."How long will that last? Plus, the totally plastic handle that, to operate, requires squeezing it to work the "gears" and expel the dough from the scoop. Once the plastic breaks (which over time it will - plastic gets brittle) I'll have to throw it away. Would have returned it, but helpful family unpacked the shipping box and tossed it and the return label away. We're sorry you're unhappy with your scoop Vera, and are happy to discuss a refund or exchange if you'd like to give us a call at 1-800-827-6836. We did test numerous scoops before choosing these ones made of stainless steel and acetal plastic which is very strong and used for many lock systems, knife handles, and even ski bindings. We've found that they last years, but understand this wasn't what you were looking for. We encourage you to reach out to us so we can make this right for you! Annabelle@KAF
I love kitchen gadgets and buy them all of the time. I purchased all three sizes of the cookie scoops and I am now in the process of making cookies. The small scoop is worthless with cold cookie dough. It sticks and won't release. I was having to rinse the scooper after every 9 cookies that I dropped. I went back to the two spoon method . It was taking so long to fill a sheet that when the 8 minute timer went off for the over, I didn't even have the next tray ready to go in. Works well for room temp cookie dough.
These scoops are terffiic:give more uniform reults ingredient balls, for better results;...... Using to prepare falafel( chick pea)balls is a must!!!!!!!!!!!!! Falafel must be shaped &immediately cooked in boiling oil or baked. The traditional method of forming balls by hand is messy& time consuming I hardly ever get them into the oil before they crumble my hands are coated w/ the batter , so answering the phone is difficult & messy.... Both the tsp & TBS size are perfect for shaping meatballs& cookies; you get evenly sized cookies helping to achieve uniform appearance & baking time The 1/4C scoop is great for ice cream cone portion control: the typical serving size is 1/2 cup so using the 1/4C scoop saves you1/2 the calories nobody feels they got less than somebody else(a "major "concern for children)
I have bought many scoops over the years and when my previous favorite tsp scoop broke, I couldn't find the same one again. I figured King Arthur would have a good one. So, I had high hopes for this scoop- but I hate it. It is extremely stiff and difficult to squeeze and thus releasing the dough is difficult and, after a few scooping a, downright painful. Maybe it's just the small sized one, or maybe I got a dud- I don't know, but using this scoop for a batch of cookies is sheer hand torture. Next time I'm in VT I'll try others to see if it's a dud, or just the way they are made. Cool design, love the color coding and handle concept- but the tsp sized scoop doesn't work well for me. I didn't buy any other sizes so I can't speak to them- and enough people love the thing I have to wonder what's up with mine.
Using this scoop shouldn't be a painful operation, Maggie. We hope you consider shipping back the scoop you have for a replacement or returning it to the store for exchange when you visit. We want to get you back to happy scooping, and baking! Irene@KAF
